Holland & Barrett, the UK’s largest health and wellbeing retailer, wanted to make its Singles Day email offer more relevant to the right audience. With support from Kickdynamic, the company aimed to avoid showing the banner to UK customers for whom the promotion would not be relevant.
Using Kickdynamic technology, Holland & Barrett targeted people opening the email in China and those with Mandarin or Cantonese browser language settings. This led to a doubled CTR compared with the standard banner and an 801% uplift in revenue versus the previous year’s Chinese Singles Day banner.
