How One Atlanta School Used Behavioral Data Analysis to Implement PBIS & MTSS Schoolwide Culture Systems

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, a grades 9–12 public charter in Atlanta serving about 740 students, needed a streamlined, schoolwide system to implement PBIS and MTSS and replace an ad-hoc merit/demerit approach. The school sought a behavior-tracking and communication platform to give leaders, teachers, students, and families a single, transparent view of behavior, attendance and academics — and implemented the Kickboard behavior monitoring platform to meet that need.

Using Kickboard (including its Family Portal, weekly reports and consequence roster), KIPP Atlanta Collegiate rolled out Tier I–III supports, made behavior data accessible in real time, and reduced teacher workload with one-touch logging. Kickboard’s easy implementation and reporting let leaders pull trends and usage data, identify students needing interventions (for example detecting post-lunch ADHD patterns that led to a medication-scheduling change), improve parent engagement, and create measurable progress-monitoring that strengthened school culture and student accountability.
