A KiBiz Systems Case Study
NY Brooklyn Bread, a large wholesale Italian bakery, faced significant operational challenges as its business grew and its artisan product line expanded beyond 700 items. Using Excel to manage orders, production lists, and invoices had become extremely cumbersome and time-consuming, especially for their controller, Jarod Coppolo. The manual processes were prone to errors, leading to product shortages, and adding a new customer required hours of programming. To streamline their operations, they turned to KiBiz Systems for a database solution.
KiBiz Systems implemented its solution, which included assigning item numbers to products and automating order entry, production lists, packing slips, and invoicing. The system also included a web portal built with the FileMaker API for PHP, allowing customers to submit orders online. As a result, NY Brooklyn Bread saved considerable time, eliminated production shortages, and could easily scale its operations. KiBiz specifically automated the weekly billing process, which previously required manually totaling seven invoices per customer, and made adding new large clients a simple data entry task rather a programming nightmare.
