A KiBiz Systems Case Study
NY Brooklyn Bread, a 25‑year‑old New York artisan bakery, was outgrowing its Excel‑based order and production tracking as its artisan line expanded to roughly 700 items across about 18 varieties. Orders came in by phone and fax daily, customer setup and billing were time‑consuming, shortages were frequent and hard to trace, and the controller spent hours maintaining spreadsheets and producing weekly statements manually. KiBiz Systems was brought in to replace the fragile Excel process with a robust database and automation solution.
KiBiz Systems implemented the KiBiz System (including FileMaker Web Publishing for online orders), converting products to four‑digit item codes, generating packing slips, invoices and automated weekly statements, and storing reusable day‑of‑week order templates for each customer. The result: order entry and customer onboarding are far faster, inventory shortages that once took hours to diagnose have been eliminated, and billing that used to require manually totaling invoices is now produced with the push of a button—delivering measurable time savings, improved accuracy and higher profitability for NY Brooklyn Bread.
