A Keysight Case Study
The University of Notre Dame’s Department of Electrical Engineering needed to balance hands‑on teaching with cutting‑edge research—preparing students for industry while performing device and circuit characterization for microwave, millimeter‑wave and high‑speed optoelectronic projects. To meet those needs the department relies on Keysight test solutions, including the B1500 semiconductor device parameter analyzer, the 9010A signal analyzer, PNA and PNA‑X network analyzers (with frequency extenders up to 750 GHz), and participation in Keysight’s RF and Microwave Industry‑Ready Student Certification Program.
Keysight delivered an integrated instrumentation and certification solution that enabled accurate, reliable measurements for both lab courses and funded research. As a result, Notre Dame students are better prepared for RF/microwave jobs and qualified to tackle real‑world technical problems; faculty report that Keysight equipment is essential to their work, supports research up to 750 GHz, and helps graduates hit the ground running in industry.
