Thales faced recurring product shipment delays and production stoppages because test instruments had to be shipped offsite for calibration, causing about 10 days of downtime and missed unit‑per‑month targets. To quickly improve throughput, reduce costs and ensure OEM‑spec measurement accuracy, Thales engaged Keysight and its Keysight Onsite Calibration service.
Keysight delivered a custom Onsite Calibration program that brought Keysight service‑center expertise, ISO/IEC 17025:2005‑compliant measurement reports and OEM‑level testing directly to the Thales facility, eliminating shipping risk. The result: turnaround times fell from about 1.5 weeks to less than a day, instrument utilization and monthly production goals were restored, repair and catch‑up costs declined, and Thales regained uptime and focus on core work.
