Semiconductor Maker Implements New Test for Automotive Ethernet

Global Semiconductor Company, a global maker of chipsets and modules for automotive, industrial, and mobile markets, needed to implement a new 1 Gbps automotive Ethernet test—including Time‑Sensitive Networking (TSN)—and to reproduce real-world workloads in the lab. The customer had previously used Keysight’s Infiniium oscilloscope and engaged Keysight to provide an end‑to‑end test solution (Infiniium MXR‑Series, AE6900T Automotive Ethernet compliance tools, and IxNetwork L2–3 traffic generation).

Keysight delivered an automated PHY and networking‑layer test platform combining Infiniium MXR‑Series oscilloscopes with AE6900T compliance software and IxNetwork/TSN conformance tools to run IEEE/OPEN Alliance Tx tests and realistic traffic scenarios. The Keysight solution enabled rapid setup of 1 Gbps tests, automated pass/fail and margin analysis, TSN conformance and packet‑loss/jitter measurements, and accelerated the customer’s development cycle while assuring standards compliance.
