A Keysight Case Study
ROHM, developer of the industry’s first CXPI transceiver IC (BD41000FJ-C), faced the challenge of validating new CXPI-based product families and proving reliable master–slave communications without slave microcontrollers. Verifying hundreds of error patterns and intermittently occurring faulty waveforms—and correlating protocol frames with time-domain signals—was time-consuming and often required manual log analysis, creating a bottleneck for ROHM’s efforts to popularize CXPI. To address this, ROHM turned to Keysight and its InfiniiVision oscilloscope‑based CXPI bus analyzer (InfiniiVision 3000T X‑series).
Keysight’s CXPI bus analyzer delivered built‑in protocol analysis, frame- and error-triggering, and the Zone Trigger function so ROHM could capture intermittent faults and view protocol messages alongside time‑domain waveforms in real time. Using Keysight’s solution ensured appropriate error signaling, streamlined design evaluation, and made it practical to run very large numbers of test patterns—greatly reducing manual log review and accelerating verification cycles. Keysight’s tools therefore improved ROHM’s verification throughput and helped enable prompt, reliable product launches for CXPI components.
