A Keysight Case Study
Republic Polytechnic faced a growing skills gap as Singapore’s organizations grappled with increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks, lack of complete network visibility, and a shortage of cybersecurity professionals. To give its Diploma in Infocomm Security Management (DISM) students real-world experience, Republic Polytechnic partnered with Keysight, leveraging Ixia technologies such as traffic generators and Application and Threat Intelligence (ATI) to build industry‑benchmarked training and simulation environments.
Keysight implemented a cyber range and SOC lab using Ixia traffic-generation and ATI tools, plus network simulation and operational scenario exercises as part of the three-year DISM program. The result is an authentic, hands-on curriculum that produces graduates skilled in ethical hacking, intrusion detection/prevention, application visibility, and network resiliency—ready for hire by organizations and better able to meet security assurance requirements. Keysight’s solutions therefore directly supported Republic Polytechnic in developing work‑ready cybersecurity professionals.
