Motorola Angers drives reliability and productivity of in-car safety systems with the 3070 test system

Motorola Angers, Motorola’s European automotive manufacturing center in Angers, France, produces hundreds of thousands of electronic boards a year for critical in-vehicle safety systems and must ensure 100% reliability without slowing assembly-line throughput. To meet this challenge, Motorola Angers selected Keysight and its 3070 Test System for in-circuit testing (ICT).

Keysight’s 3070 Test System delivered fast, accurate ICT with automated software and fixture generation, in-system programming, rapid roll-out across testers, and robust support. The deployment yielded a 3% NFF rate, new boards moved to production in 5–6 weeks, additional 3070s qualified in 2–3 days, average hardware downtime of about one failure per year, diagnostics within 90 minutes, replacement parts within 24 hours, and self-diagnostics in under 15 minutes—improving test accuracy, line throughput, and overall productivity.
