Leading Worldwide Test and Measurement Solutions Service Provider needed to replace a global MPLS network with SD‑WAN across 100+ sites to cut recurring telecom costs, boost WAN bandwidth 5–15×, and manage multiple ISP relationships while preserving voice and video quality. To support the migration they worked with Keysight and adopted Ixia’s Hawkeye active performance monitoring to baseline performance, validate ISP circuits, and verify user‑experience metrics during the transition.

Keysight deployed physical and virtual Hawkeye probes (including AWS probes) at major locations to run synthetic voice calls every five minutes, qualify roughly 200 ISP circuits across 130 sites, and produce actionable metrics such as MOS for troubleshooting and SLA validation. The Hawkeye-based solution enabled SD‑WAN rollout to 100+ (ultimately 130) locations, increased visibility at remote sites, alerted IT to issues before users were affected, and supported the project’s cost‑saving and bandwidth goals (targeting about $2M annual savings and large bandwidth increases).
