DEKRA, a leading vehicle inspection and certification body for EVs and EVSEs, faced inconsistent test quality and the need for a fully automated, interoperable charging test system to meet growing CCS and global charging standards. To address high-power DC charging, conformance, and environmental/EMC test requirements, DEKRA partnered with Keysight and adopted Keysight’s Scienlab Charging Discovery System (CDS) and Scienlab test case libraries.

Keysight delivered an integrated Scienlab CDS solution (with high‑power emulators and test libraries plus VERISCO integration) and worked with DEKRA to validate 180 DC CCS test cases, earning recognition as a CharIN Conformance Test System and making DEKRA one of the first CCTS labs. The Keysight solution enabled reproducible, automated testing (up to 1,500 V DC and ±600 A), cut specific AC charger test time from four hours to one, and improved certification test turnaround by more than 70%.
