In-Circuit Test Channel Partner Interview Series Everett Charles Technology

Everett Charles Technologies (ECT), a long-standing provider of in-circuit test (ICT) fixtures and kits, faced the industry shift of electronics assembly to low-cost regions and the resulting pressure to cut fixture costs, shorten delivery cycles, and support finer-pitch testing (1.0mm and below) while coping with signal-quality challenges and limited local technical expertise. ECT worked with Keysight and its ICT product/channel resources to address these market and technology pressures.

ECT responded by globalizing operations (facilities in China and Hungary, a kit factory in China, and a Brazil partnership) and deploying innovations such as Smart File Fixtures, 1mm pitch technology, dual-stage boundary-scan and LED testing, while co-developing a next-generation fixture with Keysight. The Keysight partnership strengthened technical support and solution delivery, and ECT reports the new solution will “dramatically reduce both cost and delivery time,” enable .8mm pitch testing and “improve measurably” on signal quality—delivering faster cycles, lower costs, and better on‑site support for customers.
