A Keysight Case Study
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in Roseville, California, faced increasing electromagnetic interference (EMI) challenges as its Ethernet switch products grew in complexity and regulatory requirements tightened. Long EMC test and intermittent-troubleshooting times threatened chamber capacity and throughput, so HPE engaged Keysight to improve measurement speed and capture reliability, deploying the Keysight N9048B PXE EMI receiver together with TOYO EPX / RE software.
Keysight’s solution used the PXE N9048B’s accelerated time-domain scan (A‑TDS) and real-time scan (RTSC) gapless capture with up to 350 MHz FFT bandwidth, enabling simultaneous frequency- and time-domain analysis. With Keysight’s system HPE achieved roughly 10× faster measurements, continuous monitoring of noise amplitudes, and a reduction in EMI troubleshooting from more than two hours to about 10 minutes (up to ~90% fewer person-hours), significantly improving lab throughput and debug efficiency.
