Global Automotive Component Manufacturer Uses PMA to Speed Up Root Cause Analysis

Global Automotive Component Manufacturer faced persistent production issues when functional test yields fell below 90% and root cause analysis (RCA) stretched into months despite real-time displays and in-house analytics. To accelerate RCA for functional test failures the manufacturer turned to Keysight and its PathWave Manufacturing Analytics (PMA) platform to get faster, more actionable insight into tester and fixture behavior.

Keysight deployed PMA’s predictive alerts, fixture comparison and report-generation features and ran automated analysis on the problematic dataset; a Keysight field engineer identified the faulty fixture in about 5 minutes, cutting RCA time from six months to five minutes.
