GISTDA National Space Agency Captures CubeSat Opportunity

Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), Thailand’s national space agency, needed to design, build and test indigenous 3U CubeSats and small satellites but faced tight budgets and schedules along with demanding RF, telemetry and antenna performance requirements. GISTDA partnered with Keysight and evaluated the Keysight N9916A FieldFox handheld combination analyzer to support lab and field validation.

Keysight deployed the FieldFox as the core of GISTDA’s RF satellite lab, providing portable, benchtop‑class network analysis, spectrum analysis, power measurement and cable/antenna testing in a single instrument. By using Keysight’s FieldFox, GISTDA accelerated CubeSat test and validation, reducing overall measurement time by 20% and cutting equipment costs by 45%, helping the agency meet its project deadlines and budget targets.
