Freshfields boosts IT productivity with Eggplant functional

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, a global law firm of about 5,000 staff, faced a recurring bottleneck: rolling out heavily customised productivity applications across a Citrix infrastructure required manual testing that took 5–7 weeks per release. To address this, the firm evaluated and adopted Keysight’s Eggplant Functional (an image‑based GUI testing solution) to overcome the limitations of object‑based tools and speed up their release process.

Keysight implemented Eggplant Functional with its SenseTalk scripting and hands‑on support, enabling Freshfields to automate more than 80% of testing and cut release testing from 5–7 weeks to just one week for each of six to seven annual rollouts. The solution freed test resources for higher‑value work, is now used in production to reproduce intermittent issues, and Freshfields is piloting Keysight’s Eggplant Performance to expand global performance testing and replace their Citrix load‑testing service.
