European Telecom Company, a multinational operator serving Europe and Africa, needed to accelerate a large NFV/SDN migration to cut OPEX and roll out services faster while protecting subscriber quality of experience. Facing a jump from roughly 5% to a 20% virtualized mobility network target and a shift to fast-turn DevOps field labs, the operator required consistent testing and monitoring across development, management, and production environments. Keysight (Ixia) solutions including IxNetwork, IxLoad, BreakingPoint and the GTP Session Controller were used to address that gap.

Keysight standardized testing and monitoring across labs and production—using IxLoad VE to replay and scale real traffic and the GTP Session Controller (with GRE encapsulation) to aggregate and deliver subscriber sessions to virtual probes—enabling a CI/CD approach and easier issue reproduction. As a result, the company released new functions 25% faster, improved efficiency moving subscriber data to virtual probes by about 20%, and was able to quadruple its virtualization deployments, accelerating its NFV rollout.
