DEKRA Deploys Keysight EV / EVSE Charging Test Solutions in Europe’s First CharIN CCS Test System Laboratory

Dekra, a global leader in vehicle inspection and certification, faced inconsistent charging-test quality and the need for an automated, interoperable EV/EVSE test routine to support growing DC fast‑charging standards. To address this, Dekra partnered with Keysight and deployed Keysight’s Scienlab Charging Discovery System (CDS) portfolio—including the SL1047A Scienlab CDS High‑Power Series, dynamic DC emulators and the SL1300A test case library—to equip Europe’s first CharIN CCS Test System (CCTS) laboratory.

Keysight implemented an integrated, highly automated test solution that validated some 180 DC CCS conformance test cases and produced reproducible, standards‑aligned results. The collaboration earned Keysight recognition as a CharIN CCTS provider and Dekra as one of the first CCTS laboratories; the automated workflow shortened certification turnaround by more than 70% and reduced specific AC charger test times from four hours to one hour, while supporting future‑proof high‑power testing up to 1,500 V DC.
