Bouygues Telecom, a leading French mobile, Internet and IPTV provider operating more than 10,000 network devices, needed a single-dashboard view, better detection of performance issues, and improved testing and troubleshooting. To address this, Bouygues Telecom deployed Keysight’s Hawkeye management server and XR2000 active monitoring probes to gain centralized visibility and proactive monitoring across its network.

Keysight implemented a Hawkeye virtual management server and distributed XR2000 probes that run ICMP pings every 15 minutes across roughly 7,000 mobile and 3,000 fixed devices, and provide tests for latency, jitter, packet loss and IGMP issues. The Keysight solution enabled faster detection and root-cause troubleshooting, revealed that recent IP changes increased latency, improved network performance and reliability, and delivered better quality of experience for users while providing automated reporting and scope to expand testing beyond ICMP.
