BankservAfrica Improves Testing Efficiency with Eggplant Test Automation

BankservAfrica, Africa’s leading automated clearing house, faced a major testing challenge with its Debicheck AC batch system: creating large, matching XML batch files for creditor and debtor banks at real-world volumes and permutations was slow, manual, and error-prone. To address this, BankservAfrica worked with IT Ecology and adopted Keysight’s Eggplant Test Automation to replace time-consuming manual test-data creation and improve consistency across its interbank transaction testing.

IT Ecology implemented Keysight’s Eggplant Test Automation to generate complex input and response files in minutes and to automate output validation, enabling true end-to-end testing across all debtor banks simultaneously. The results included automatic creation of large-volume test files, a jump in test coverage, elimination of human file-creation errors (file errors fell from ~20% to 0), faster issue resolution (previously up to 30 minutes investigating each error), and reduced onboarding time for new banks — all delivered using Keysight’s Eggplant solution.
