A Keysight Case Study
SiGe Semiconductor, a designer of RF and mixed-signal ICs for broadband and wireless markets, needed to rapidly bring a silicon‑germanium Bluetooth (2.4 GHz) power amplifier to market amid evolving Bluetooth standards and real‑world interference challenges. To accelerate development and provide customers with usable models early, SiGe used Keysight’s Advanced Design System (ADS) for high‑frequency, large‑signal simulation and virtual sample delivery.
Keysight delivered ADS as an end‑to‑end solution for RFIC design, PCB embedding, post‑layout verification and Gerber generation, enabling SiGe to supply encoded ADS virtual samples to customers and shorten design cycles. Using Keysight ADS, SiGe won over 30 customer design wins, earned a Product of the Year award, and captured roughly 40% of the Bluetooth Class 1 power‑amp market, while beating competitors to market.
