FujiFilm’s software development arm, FUJIFILM Software Co., Ltd., needed a better way to test its embedded medical device software for imaging, radiography, and endoscopy systems. Its manual testing process was time-consuming, resource-intensive, and prone to human error, especially because the devices had to be validated across multiple languages and their embedded environments made traditional test tools difficult to use.

Keysight, through Eggplant automated testing, provided a noninvasive, technology-agnostic solution that worked without installing software on the system under test and used image recognition to automate the full user interface. The result was improved testing efficiency and quality, with the case study noting that the previous manual process had consumed about one-third of development time; Keysight’s solution helped FujiFilm reduce that burden while maintaining the reliability needed for patient diagnosis and treatment.
