A KeyShot Case Study
Specialized Bicycle Components hired creative studio Thomas Burke & Others (TB&O) to produce a mobile-first, immersive web experience for the launch of the Venge road bike. The brief went beyond traditional photos and video: the team had to deliver high-quality, photo‑real 3D and interactive VR within tight bandwidth, schedule and budget constraints while animating a surprisingly complex bike assembly (about 80 moving parts) and recreating realistic materials and finishes.
TB&O’s small 3D team used KeyShot, KeyShotVR, Maya and SolidWorks with support from Luxion to produce real‑time ray‑traced visuals, custom materials and a dramatic lighting rig, plus KeyShotVR-generated HTML5 and progressive loading for smooth web delivery. The result was a cinematic, interactive experience delivered on time and on budget, with reusable assets for dealers and marketing and a first‑of‑its‑kind immersive presentation that met Specialized’s technical and emotional goals.
