A KeyShot Case Study
SRAM, a global bicycle component company headquartered in Chicago, relies on a compact Industrial Design team working closely with engineering, product management, marketing and manufacturing to deliver high-quality components. The team struggled to communicate surface finishes and graphic treatments early in the design process because Product Graphic Designers only had 2D vector mockups that couldn’t accurately show how graphics and materials would read on 3D forms from different angles.
By adopting KeyShot throughout the development process, SRAM’s designers can quickly render realistic 3D visuals of finishes and graphics for review by Finish Engineers, Product Management and Marketing. This improved visualization lets the team set design targets earlier, present manufacturable concepts with greater confidence, and accelerate alignment across disciplines while preserving brand standards.
