Liz Kirby, an Environment Artist at 343 Industries (makers of the Halo franchise), needed a fast, reliable way to iterate on lighting, materials and realistic textures while working on complex game environments. Long render setups and slow test renders were slowing her workflow and making it harder to catch scene issues early in the pipeline.
