Leap Motion, a pioneer in hand- and finger-tracking technology, needed a way to communicate its product vision and produce high-quality marketing visuals early in the company’s life. Industrial Designer Kyle Hay (employee #6) led the Controller from concept to manufactured product but, with limited funds and few production-ready prototypes, the team faced the challenge of convincing investors and creating packaging and website imagery without costly photo shoots.

By partnering with KeyShot and integrating renders from their SolidWorks workflow, Leap Motion produced photorealistic visuals for investor pitches, packaging, and web graphics quickly and affordably. KeyShot’s rapid visualization and control replaced expensive shoots, improved image quality, helped secure initial funding, and supported the product’s market rollout and ongoing marketing needs.
