Blueground, a leading global provider of mid-term rentals, faced increasing operational complexity as it grew, particularly with its manual key exchange process for tenants. This system, which relied on key boxes or staff distribution, became difficult to manage at scale, prompting them to seek a solution from the key exchange service vendor, KeyNest.
KeyNest addressed this challenge by providing access to its global network of over 5,000 secure key exchange Points, often located in local stores and cafes. This allowed Blueground’s customers to collect and drop off keys effortlessly using unique codes. The implementation significantly improved and simplified key management for over 1,000 key sets, enabling easy operational expansion. Furthermore, Blueground piloted KeyNest's Cloud platform, gaining greater control and real-time traceability over its internal key inventory.
