Allina Health, a healthcare provider in Minnesota and Wisconsin, had an existing internal telehealth program but sought to further differentiate itself by gaining the capability to offer 24/7 virtual care. To meet this challenge, they chose to partner with the virtual care vendor KeyCare.

By implementing KeyCare's service, Allina Health was able to dramatically expand its geographic coverage from 2 to 40 states and provide 3,800 virtual visits over two years. KeyCare now handles 12% of Allina's total virtual visits. The solution also had a significant impact on patient behavior, as 62% of the patients who used the virtual care service reported they would have otherwise gone to an urgent care facility.
