The Maison Internationale des Associations in Geneva Teams Up With Keycafe for Automated Room Rentals

The Maison Internationale des Associations (MIA), a facility in Geneva with 13 rental rooms for events, faced a challenge managing key handoffs for its customers with only 10 employees. The need for staff to be present at all hours for rentals, including evenings and nights, created a significant logistical and personal burden. The MIA turned to Keycafe and its SmartBox key management system to automate this process.

Keycafe's solution allowed customers to retrieve and return keys autonomously using a code sent to their phone after booking. This eliminated the need for staff to be on-site for key exchanges. The results for the MIA included considerable savings in staffing costs by eliminating night shifts for key handoffs, a decreased workload for employees, and increased flexibility and autonomy for their guests.
