Castle Rock Becomes First U.S. State Park to Continuously Monitor Drinking Water

The customer, Castle Rock State Park, required a solution for continuous water quality monitoring to ensure safe drinking water for its visitors. The park, managed with the nonprofit Sempervirens Fund, needed to replace its manual water sampling process. They partnered with the vendor KETOS to implement the KETOS SHIELD monitoring technology.

KETOS provided its SHIELD system to proactively test the park's groundwater for over 20 parameters, including lead and copper, in real-time. This solution saved the park hundreds of hours previously spent on manual sampling each year and provided instant access to water data to ensure compliance with EPA safety thresholds. The KETOS water quality reports are now accepted by the State of California Division of Drinking Water as official process data.
