Women Inc secures €12 million for women’s health research with KesselsKramer

Women Inc., an organization focused on gender equality, faced the challenge of a medical science field largely based on men, which has life-threatening consequences for women. Their goal was to pressure the Dutch government to create change. They partnered with the vendor KesselsKramer for a communications campaign.

KesselsKramer's solution was to create a public awareness campaign titled "Treat me like a lady." It informed the public and media with hard facts about gender disparities in medicine to pressure medical stakeholders. The campaign was spread online with an urgent request to share. As a direct result of this campaign, the Dutch health minister provided 12 million Euros for further research on the topic. The campaign's effectiveness was also recognized with a bronze Effie award.
