Preview of the Krispy Kreme Case Study

Krispy Kreme sells 6,904 doughnuts in 2 weeks with Kerve

Krispy Kreme, in collaboration with DeVries SLAM, faced the challenge of creating significant excitement for the launch of their new Nutty Chocolatta™ doughnut within an extremely tight six-week timeline. The experiential marketing agency Kerve was brought on board to help build a high-impact, interactive installation that would generate buzz for this nutty collaboration.

Kerve designed and built "HoleInTheWall," a giant, Willy Wonka-inspired doughnut vending machine that featured spinning wheels, flashing lights, and a contactless payment system. The solution was highly successful, selling 6,904 doughnuts in two weeks and generating widespread media coverage and social media impressions. The campaign contributed to the new doughnut overtaking the iconic Original Glaze as the number one selling Krispy Kreme product nationwide, demonstrating the significant measurable impact achieved by Kerve.
