A Kerve Case Study
The customer, Barclaycard, and their communications agency BCW, faced a challenge during the Christmas party season: long bar queues were causing them to lose potential customers. They tasked the vendor, Kerve, with creating an innovative retail solution to help beer drinkers avoid waiting.
Kerve designed and built the world's first contactless beer pump, named #pay@pump. This automated solution featured a sculptural chrome font with a touchscreen and contactless reader, allowing customers to purchase and pour their own pints. The campaign was a major success for Kerve, generating 190 pieces of press coverage and reaching a combined audience of 1.4 billion.
