Sompo Canopius, the global specialty insurance and reinsurance division of Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Holdings Inc., needed to strengthen the resilience of its business-critical communications and reduce the complexity and cost of supporting global operations. Kerv worked with the company on connectivity, voice, mobile, and consultancy services to improve business continuity and address international mobile spending.

Kerv implemented a fully resilient three-point metro data ring linking the main office, data centre and Lloyd’s building, along with cloud-based DDI routing and IP/voice failover for global sites to ensure automatic switchover if a link or carrier failed. The solution was monitored 24/7 and backed by consolidated billing and support, while Kerv also cut data roaming costs by around 75% and began a mobile contract benchmarking exercise to identify further savings and recover overpayments.
