Case Study: ABP Food Group improves security and performance with Kerv SD-WAN

A Kerv Case Study

Preview of the ABP Food Group Case Study

Rolling out an SD-WAN solution to their sites and providing an SD-WAN managed service

ABP Food Group, one of Europe’s leading food processors, was operating across around 60 sites with multiple WAN MPLS contracts and separate security and remote access solutions from several providers. This created inconsistent service levels, slow fault resolution, difficult change management, and limited capacity and resilience at a time when network demand was surging during the first COVID lockdown. Kerv helped the company move toward a unified “one network” strategy with SD-WAN and network security.

Kerv implemented a fully managed VMware by Broadcom VeloCloud SD-WAN solution with Fortinet security and remote access, resilient connections for all sites, and 4G where needed. The rollout delivered improved visibility, application prioritisation, better resilience and performance, simpler capacity scaling, cloud-optimised access, and stronger segmentation across divisions. Kerv’s proof of concept had already shown tangible benefits at problem sites, improving capacity at one location and application performance at another, while also simplifying management for ABP’s IT team.
