Kerv worked with a nationwide retail chain, one of the country’s leading pet store groups with more than 150 outlets, after two serious cyber incidents in four weeks caused disruption and downtime. The customer needed to improve its IT security posture without changing how store staff used IT, while also meeting PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001 and other compliance requirements, and it had no internal security team to run the program.
Kerv delivered a managed security service that included a managed SIEM, managed firewalls, continual penetration testing, endpoint protection, intrusion detection and encryption, all monitored 24/7 from its Security Operations Centres. Since implementation, the customer has had no outages or data breaches, while Kerv detected and stopped more than 2,000 attempted cyber incidents, helping prevent an estimated £500,000 in losses and establishing an ongoing security improvement plan.
