A Kerridge Commercial Systems Case Study
Autoparts (South Wales) Limited, a family-run automotive factor founded in 1962, needed greater functionality and flexibility than its legacy system could provide—better traceability of processes, the ability to attach documents to sales orders, improved stock control for returns and quarantined items, mobile access for field sales, and more powerful reporting. To address these needs Autoparts chose to upgrade to K8 from Kerridge Commercial Systems.
Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented K8, delivering browser-based iPad access, document attachment to orders, barcode-driven returns and multi-location stock allocation, online-catalogue and website integration, foreign-currency support, suggestion engines for add-ons, and built-in “exception” reporting. As a result Autoparts can check stock and raise orders on the road, manage returns and stock locations more accurately, and run targeted reports (for example to identify large outstanding balances and capture lost-sales for forecasting), improving operational flexibility and efficiency.
