Kuipers BMH, an independent building materials and stone wholesaler in the north Netherlands, needed to replace two linked systems (accounting and order processing) with a single ERP that would improve inventory management, order processing and CRM while avoiding dependence on a small software developer. They selected K8 Babbage from Kerridge Commercial Systems to provide a flexible, full ERP solution tailored to their branch-based operations.
Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented K8 across all Kuipers branches, delivering more efficient inventory management (including inter-branch orders), faster order fulfilment (the average takeaway order now requires about ten fewer keystrokes), better visibility of debtors and company-wide information, reduced customer aftercare and fewer stock-check phone calls. Nine months after go-live Kuipers reported measurable improvements across nearly all areas, stronger credit management, time savings and a collaborative redevelopment of K8’s Project Management functionality with Kerridge Commercial Systems for broader rollout.
