K8 to make customers lives easier at O’Connor’s

Tadhg O’Connor Ltd, a family‑owned Limerick builders’ merchant and furniture retailer with over 600 trade accounts, was constrained by a 12‑year‑old system that lacked eCommerce, stock visibility, flexible discounting and tighter margin control. To modernise operations and “make customers’ lives easier,” the company selected Kerridge Commercial Systems’ K8 ERP to enable online ordering, remote field access, back‑to‑back purchase ordering and improved purchasing accuracy.

Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented K8 along with an ePOD module and integrated KPI reporting, giving drivers “on glass” proof of delivery and the sales team full remote access. The solution delivered better sales processing, stock control, purchasing and credit control, put online trading within reach (targeting 20% of business online within 12 months) and is expected to boost profitability by about 1–2% after going live.
