K8 takes leading builders’ merchant to another level

Parkers Building Supplies, a leading independent timber and heavyside builders’ merchant with 25 locations and 280 employees, needed to modernize its systems to improve reporting, mobile access for sales reps and online customer services. To drive this change of culture and support growth, Parkers engaged Kerridge Commercial Systems to upgrade to its K8 ERP platform, including K8 Web Builder and Delivery Management System.

Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented successive K8 upgrades delivering enhanced Business Intelligence and KPIs, remote tablet access for around 160 users, a customer portal for invoices/PoDs via K8 Web Builder, and a Delivery Management System with handheld manifests and signature capture. The solution produced measurable operational gains—smoother upgrades with minimal user disruption, major transport efficiencies (route switching and drop sequencing), signed PoDs available through the portal—and positioned Parkers to roll out click & collect and further expansion.
