Burtons Medical Equipment, a manufacturer and distributor of healthcare and veterinary equipment, faced growing operational pressure as its legacy systems could not provide the data retention, stock control and traceability needed to meet client KPIs and ISO standards. To address this, Burtons selected Kerridge Commercial Systems and implemented the K8 LV solution to consolidate production, distribution and support on a stable Windows-based platform.

Kerridge Commercial Systems delivered a fully integrated K8 LV-based ERP, later extended with service management and works ordering modules, which automated label printing and data re-entry, created a detailed audit trail and improved stock accuracy and delivery performance. The KCS solution saved many man-hours across departments, provided the batch control and traceability required for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13845:2003 compliance, and enabled ongoing innovations (electronic pens and future PDA integration) to streamline preventative maintenance and service operations.
