A Kerridge Commercial Systems Case Study
Eyre and Elliston, a major electrical distributor with 59 UK branches and around 55,000 line items, was running an aging text-based Rev 7 system that lacked a modern interface and had become difficult to support because of bespoke modifications. As a long-standing customer of Kerridge Commercial Systems, the business needed a scalable, modern ERP to maintain competitiveness across more than 300 simultaneous users.
Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented its K8 solution, carrying out a module-by-module gap analysis, complex data conversions and bespoke developments (including a two-stage order margin review), and upgrading the IT estate (WAN, servers, Citrix, backup/failover) alongside a year-long training programme. The K8 go-live (7 April 2014) produced high user acceptance, around 95% efficiency from day one, faster transaction processing, improved reporting and EDI, and a platform to extend K8 capabilities further.
