A Kerridge Commercial Systems Case Study
Dickson Bearings and Transmissions, a third-generation Dublin distributor with 90 years in business, faced the challenge of managing an inventory of 150,000 part lines and serving more than 2,000 customers—many of whose orders are time-critical breakdowns—while operating with just 14 users. A long-standing customer of Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) since 1986, Dickson upgraded to K8 in 2007 and relies on the system as an essential business tool to keep operations running smoothly.
Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented K8 to give Dickson real-time dashboards, Advanced Analysis and web-enabled reports for field sales, enabling fast order processing, tight stock control and more efficient purchasing across its extensive product range. As a result, Dickson reports having a “finger on the pulse” with day-by-day and monthly sales and margin snapshots, improved pricing management and a platform for continued development—capabilities that support rapid response to breakdowns and drive profitable trading.
