A Kerridge Commercial Systems Case Study
Collinson Ceramics, Scotland’s leading independent tile distributor with showrooms in Edinburgh, Inverness and Dundee and a distribution centre in Dalmeny, needed to replace a labour‑intensive legacy system that could no longer keep up with doubling sales and growing complexity. After evaluating vendors, Collinson Ceramics chose K8, the integrated business management software from Kerridge Commercial Systems, to provide the automation and visibility the business required.
Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented K8 (deployed from the K‑Cloud) to deliver real‑time visibility, warehouse and batch control, transport/load tracking, project management and POD/delivery functionality. The solution reduced a three‑step branch transfer to a single step, will save about half a man‑day a week by scanning PODs, cuts potential for human error and wastage through batch recognition and perpetual inventory, and automates direct orders and call‑offs—improving accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
