Bearing Man Group - Customer Case Study

Bearing Man Group, a bearing and engineering-products distributor founded in 1974 with more than 100 branches across South Africa and neighbouring countries, faced end‑of‑life legacy systems and rising needs for a modern, scalable platform to support international trading and growing transaction volumes. After an RFP and evaluation, Bearing Man Group selected Kerridge Commercial Systems and its K8 solution to replace the legacy systems for a business of roughly 1,000 users across 105 branches.

Kerridge Commercial Systems implemented K8 (go‑live 1 August 2005), delivering a modern GUI, faster and more efficient processes, and international trading capability. The solution now supports over 8,000 sales orders per day, proved easy to adopt with strong user acceptance, and provided a stable, scalable platform for future growth—meeting Bearing Man Group’s performance and support needs.
