Energizer Holdings, a global manufacturer of batteries, flashlights and wet‑shave products, faced slow, error‑prone financial planning and forecasting driven by spreadsheet consolidation across finance, sales, supply chain and manufacturing. In 2010 Energizer selected Kepion (Kepion Planning 3.0 and Kepion Modeler on the Microsoft BI platform with SQL Server 2008 R2) to provide a single environment for budgeting, planning and reporting that could be used worldwide.

Kepion implemented web‑spreadsheet input forms, Modeler applications and tight integration with SharePoint 2010, Excel PivotTables and SQL Server/Analysis Services, deploying over 15 applications to more than 5,000 users. The Kepion solution eliminated manual spreadsheet consolidation, enabled self‑service reporting, and cut data refresh and calculation times from 5–30 minutes to 1–10 seconds—streamlining planning, budgeting and forecasting and significantly improving user productivity and IT focus on business requirements.
