University of South Wales monitors students’ attendance with Keonn readers

The University of South Wales wanted a better way to monitor student attendance and improve retention across its teaching spaces. It worked with Keonn Technologies, using Keonn AdvanReader-60 readers, Keonn Advantenna-p11 antennas, and LEDs as part of its RFID-UHF-based “RUHere?” attendance system.

Keonn Technologies implemented a system that automatically tracks students’ presence in laboratory sessions and lecture halls, then displays the data online in real time for both staff and students. The rollout covered 51 courses and 700 students, and the case study reports that student attendance improved.
