A Kentik Case Study
Major League Baseball (MLB) needed better network visibility than its legacy monitoring tools could provide across a highly complex environment spanning data centers, ballparks, cloud services, wireless, WAN, and multicast video workloads. With siloed, handcrafted systems that lacked end-to-end insight, MLB turned to Kentik’s Network Observability Cloud to understand traffic patterns, user activity, and application behavior across its multivendor infrastructure.
Kentik implemented a SaaS-based analytics platform that ingests flow and telemetry data from routers, switches, access points, and cloud environments to support root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and traffic optimization. MLB used Kentik to support a data-center consolidation and to speed troubleshooting during the season, cutting mean time to resolution from hours to minutes in some cases while also improving visibility into multicast video streams and cloud-connected workloads.
