A Kentico Case Study
YMCA Canada needed a scalable, cost-effective way to modernize and unify the web presence of its 52 independent associations, each running disparate sites, technologies and hosting. Rising stakeholder demand for online services, inconsistent branding and standards, high operating costs and limited capacity for new features made it difficult for individual YMCAs to maintain or evolve their digital channels.
Working with Ecentricarts, YMCA launched the Common Web Platform (CWP) on a Kentico EMS foundation hosted in the Amazon Cloud: a shared template, widget library and standardized information architecture that includes responsive, accessible design, analytics, geolocation, social and donations integration, and centralized content management. The CWP has enabled faster, lower-cost site rollouts, ongoing operational savings through cost sharing, consistent national brand rollout and improved site management driven by analytics and standardized procedures.
